The Benefits of CBD Oil

The CBD (cannabinoid) industry has taken the nation by storm. More and more studies are coming out every month about the benefits of CBD Oil and how it’s helping thousands with all kinds of life situations. The market growth for CBD is booming right now, last year alone it grossed 200+ million USD. It’s expected to hit the billion dollar mark by 2020, at least according to the Hemp Business Journal. While they are still testing for just about everything, there are clear signs of positive effects and tons of life-changing stories.

Is it legal?

In all 50 states, CBD is legal AS LONG AS it contains no or very little trace of THC (depends on each state’s law and compliance.) Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is the main psychoactive cannabinoid found in cannabis, and causes the sensation of getting “high” that’s often associated with marijuana. However, the THC in CBD is not psychoactive.

So what are the benefits?

Pain Relief - CBD has been associated with pain relief from migraines to menstrual cramps. Also helps with rheumatoid arthritis and multiple sclerosis. Studies conducted have shown that it may reduce your severe pain to manageable levels.
Depression and Anxiety - CBD has been shown to relieve depression and anxiety in individuals leading to more interest in this natural approach. A test group that received treatment had significantly less anxiety, cognitive impairment and discomfort in their speech performance, compared to the placebo group. CBD oil has even been used to safely treat insomnia and anxiety in children with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). CBD has a component which acts on receptors in the brain that controls mood and social behavior.
Anti-inflammatory - CBD apparently helps with acne, properties may help reduce the sebum glands production of oils in the skin which can help reduce the amount of acne.
Neurological - It has also shown to help those with neurological diseases like Alzheimer's and Parkinson’s. Heart Health - According to some studies, Cannabinoid has been shown to benefit heart health by lowering high blood pressure. High blood pressure is linked to heart attacks, strokes, metabolic syndrome, and other issues!

While all the benefits sound amazing so far, we are still early in testing of CBD and all the testing is heavily regulated. The laws around distribution and creating can be a bit confusing so make sure you talk to the distributors in your state. Anxiety and Depression
