ABOUT
Avon Positions and Policies
Avon is committed to offering safe and effective products and operating as a responsible corporate citizen in the markets in which it does business. We are proud of our more than 125-year safety record and commitment to corporate responsibility.
We have the same universal standards of quality and safety worldwide and are fully compliant with all regulations established by government agencies that oversee product ingredients and safety. Only ingredients that can be used safely are used in Avon products. Consumers can be assured that any product that carries the Avon name has undergone the most rigorous and thorough safety evaluation and can be used with the utmost confidence.
Across the business enterprise, we are committed to functioning in a responsible manner and to reducing our environmental impact. We have developed policies in areas of sustainability that are especially important to the company's business.

This is the company that puts mascara on lashes and food on tables. That fights wrinkles with one hand and breast cancer with the other. That knows the value of a perfect lip, but still opens its mouth and speaks out against domestic violence and for women's financial independence. This is the company that not only brings beauty to doors, but also opens them. This is Avon. The company that for over a century has stood for beauty, innovation, optimism and, above all, for women.
Everyday, Avon brings beauty to the lives of women. At Avon, beauty means more than finding the right lipstick shade for a customer. It means providing an earnings opportunity so a woman can support her family; and championing causes that matter to many women – eradicating breast cancer and ending domestic violence.

FAQ

1. WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I SIGN UP?

In a few easy steps, you can become an Avon Independent Sales Representative, and start your own business. It costs just $10 to start your own Avon business. This includes 20 brochures (10 for each of your first two selling campaigns). After you sign up, you will receive a welcome e-mail. Then, you can go online, explore the product line, and start your training. You may also build your personal website to sell products and manage your business. A few days after you sign up, the person who talked to you about Avon will follow up and offer additional personal training opportunities to help you get your business off to a successful start.

2. HOW MUCH CAN I MAKE SELLING AVON?

You earn 40% on your sales of beauty products in your first order, regardless of the size, when your order is placed online. While you are an Avon Representative, you can continue to earn as much as 50% on beauty products, depending on your order size. You can increase your earnings potential by recruiting, training, and mentoring new Representatives.
3. DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR SHIPPING, OR DO MY CUSTOMERS PAY A SHIPPING FEE?
You will be charged a shipping and handling fee based on the size of your order. Additional shipping charges apply for Alaska, Guam, and Hawaii. Customers who order through your Personal Website and choose to have it shipped directly to their home, will incur the shipping and handling charges. When Customers choose Representative Delivery, the order is routed to your order cart to submit as part of your Avon order.

4. HOW DO I PAY FOR MY ORDER?

Payment to Avon is due two weeks after your order is shipped. This gives you time to deliver your orders and collect payment from your customers. You can pay by check, money order, credit card, or online directly from your checking account, using Avon Quickpay.

5. WHAT SHOULD I ASK MY LEADERSHIP REPRESENTATIVE ON OUR CALL?

What will happen next?
How do I get brochures?
What kind of training is available?
How did she get started?
What was her most positive sales experience with Avon?

6. WHAT'S INVOLVED IN FILLING OUT MY CONTRACT ONLINE?

In less than 10 minutes, you can have your contract finished. You will be answering some personal questions, because we will need to run background and credit checks. That is to establish your initial credit line with Avon, if applicable.
Once you have filled everything out, you will pay your one-time $10 “appointment fee,” and your start-up materials will be sent to you in the mail. Your Leadership Representative (your Appointment Maker) will also reach out to you, and help guide you as you set up your business and get ready to sell Avon.
